All proceeds after expenses, from the sale of Jaki’s photos of Guruji and Geeta Iyengar will be donated to Geeta to help build a Special Girls High School in Bellur, India. Bellur is the home town of BKS Iyengar. He is sharing his world wide success with his home town. Geeta’s goal is to build a high school for girls from Bellur and nearby villages. Currently, Bellur's high school age girls’ education is typical of those of other girls of other small villages in India. Girls generally discontinue their education after 7th grade because there is not a high school in the village or nearby, and girls’ parents are reluctant to allow their teenage daughters to walk or ride a bicycle to a distant village school. Geeta’s desire is to build a school for girls to provide a quality academic and safe education for girls in Bellur.
